As a Project Coordinator at KO Construction, you will be responsible for collaborating with our third-party vendors, and across departments to drive Capital Projects and Maintenance initiatives for all KO Storage Facilities. As a key player of our Capital Improvements team, you will play an integral role in the scalable growth and success of our company.
Work Location: Minnetonka, MN
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

- Plans, designs, and executes multiple renovation, construction, or maintenance projects, from conception to completion, to meet company requirements, budget, and time restraints.
- Writes, reviews, and revises all scopes of work for various projects.
- Review all design plans to ensure the construction assumptions and project risks have been identified and addressed.
- Coordinates and directs vendors, subcontractors and/or on-site personnel in the construction process from start to finish.
- Prepares internal and external reports pertaining to job status and ensures prompt communication to key stake holders.
- Develop strong understanding of access control, and camera product lines to design layouts within company standards.
- Develop and prepare project budgets and cost estimates. Ensure that project budget stays within budget.
- Develop schedules and maintain targeted completion dates. Understand how to manage milestones and bring appropriate resources to challenges impacting the schedule.
- Responsible for identifying, vetting, and negotiating contractual terms with vendors.
- Advise management of any project delays or budget challenges and identifies alternate actions to maintain schedules and budgets.
- Research and recommend procedures, processes, and services for continuous improvement in the delivery of results.
- Provide emergency response as needed.
- Perform due diligence for acquisitions and redevelopments.
Who You Are
- 3 years project management experience preferred in a major chain or multiple location organization for either a vendor, property management company, or retailer preferably overseeing the management of assets and remodels or capital projects.
- Must possess strong project accounting skills, including budget development, ongoing project cost monitoring and large money contract management.
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited 4-year university (preferred)
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong computer skills (MS Suite office of programs including Word, Excel, Access, Project, and Primavera-Expedition)
- Construction Management interest
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- May require travel.
