Project Coordinator (Blue Sky Water Reclamation Facility)

We are hiring a Full time position working out of our Taylor, Texas operation or Austin-area office. This is a three year assignment.
The Project Coordinator is accountable for coordinating project related support and construction activities. This includes working directly with engineering and construction partners to ensure that construction projects are delivered safely, on-time, on-budget and achieve the quality objectives of the project.
The Project Coordinator is accountable to the Manager, Project Management and operates within the context and prescribed limits established by the Project Manager and Senior Manager.
What you’d be responsible for
Provide input to the Bluesky WRF Project plans and directions, and coordinate and maintain appropriate relationships with other EPCOR project team members, engineering and construction partners, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the delivery of optimal results against appropriate performance metrics (including meeting safety, environment, budget, schedule and quality criteria for project execution).
- Provide field coordination of construction activities.
- Monitor, document and report on construction activities and HSE performance, budget, schedule and quality of the project.
- Coordinate commissioning and start-up activities with the EPCOR operations team.
- Monitor project risks, anticipate problems, and propose mitigation plans and strategies.
- Ensure adherence to project specific requirements and stakeholder commitments.
- Ensure reports and information required from contractors is received in a timely manner.
- Act as EPCOR’s representative in the field, exercise good judgement and escalate issues appropriately.
- Demonstrate a high performance, high disciplined, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented, easy to do business with manner of working.
- Support project managers to identify the necessary budget requirements for implementation of capital projects, including engineering design and construction
- Assist the PM to complete project documents. This will include developing management plans, distributing agendas, preparing minutes, preparing procurement documents, obtaining agreements, developing and maintaining issues log, change log and risk register, preparing applications for necessary approvals and preparing project close out documents. Support the Project Manager in developing and maintaining project schedule, monthly project cash flow forecasts, and accruals.
- Assist the Project Manager to execute project activities. These include administering contracts for consultant and contractors, reviewing project invoices for accuracy, including quantities, force account and special items prior to submission to the Project Manager for approval, coordinating inputs for design and construction from stakeholders, assessing and processing progress claims, and attending project meetings.
What’s required to be successful
Knowledge/Training/Education:
- Two-year degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline
- Minimum four years of experience in construction, project management, operation or maintenance
Technical Skills:
- Strong management skills (planning, prioritizing, organizing, problem solving, teamwork)
- Working knowledge of project management principles
- Comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities to deliver excellent value to a number of stakeholders.
- Excellent planning, communication and organizational skills to manage project delivery, financial and human resources to achieve deliverables. Knows status of work and budgets and makes adjustments regularly
- Comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities to deliver excellent value to a number of stakeholders
