Project Coordinator

Full-time position available with Haworth's largest, global contract furniture dealer. Established in 1981, we are a 2nd generation, family-owned company looking for the ideal candidate to join our team.

Project Coordinators assist throughout the order management cycle of a project. From sales coordination through installation, Project Coordinators are responsible for tracking project milestones. The coordinator's primary responsibility is supporting internal customers (such as sales & pm), producing proposals for customers, placing orders, service work, and questions/issues regarding lead times and ship dates.

Responsibilitiesand Duties:

• Pre-order
  • Complete bid/RFP forms and/or documents.
  • Acquire product pricing from vendors.
  • Assist in the preliminary budgeting and quoting for clients.
  • Assist sales and designers with pricing, product research and technical order information.
  • Receive labor quoting from project manager and/or installation company.
• Place orders (in Khameleon), issuing and submitting purchase orders to vendor partners.
• Post-order
  • Manage order acknowledgments and resolve product, pricing, shipping information, and ship date discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor product production and shipment.
  • Order and track punch list items.
• On-going
  • Lead weekly project status meetings and make changes in the business system as necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings as scheduled.
  • Back-up support for Sales and Project Managers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Required skills
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in customer service-related field
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional customer service skills & multi-tasking abilities
  • Work in fast-paced environment
  • Build strong relationships with internal team (such as sales, design & project management)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workloads
  • Communicate effectively across multiple departments

• Preferred skills
  • Prior furniture dealership experience highly desirable
  • Moderate to a high level of product knowledge
  • Moderate to high-level expertise in vendor/customer discounting
  • Moderate to a high level of independence able to work with minimal supervision
