Job Description
- Key Duties:
Job descriptions establish expectations and performance benchmarks and always include three (3) main parts as a minimum; 1. Key Duties, 2. Key Responsibilities and 3. Key Qualifications.
Daily:
- Maintain production schedule with due dates for each related department.
- Lead/Attend daily Production meetings for status updates from the team on each order.
- Manage and direct project manufacturing teams by providing communication, coordination, and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives; ensure project scope or work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood.
- Establish project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans for all engineering work; determine and oversee all project controls, schedules, and budgets.
- Serve as project representative with the client, constructor, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, job walks, project reviews, and other meetings and correspondenc
- Maintain ongoing communication with the client, adjusting as necessary to comply with client needs within contractual obligations, or adjust project deliverables to meet client and EPD needs.
- Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget, and/or schedule.
Weekly:
- Work with Sales on new order schedules, customer change orders, and customer spec clarifications on all new and existing orders.
- Work with the Manufacturing Planning team to ensure that start dates are accurate in ERP for each order, and notify them of any scheduled delays due to change orders or issues in Assembly.
- Work with Field Service on all Warranty, Start-up & Commissioning communication with the customer.
- Review all open Sales Orders to ensure they align with all agreed-upon information.
Monthly:
- Build & run project analysis to see how financially viable the product or order is.
- Proactively report any issues or concerns about the project budget, scope or contingency plans to upper management to review.
- Review shipped job issues with Project Management Coordinator & Planning to ensure that all materials are issued to the jobs, jobs, and sales orders are closed.
Quarterly:
Review Lessons learned with Sales / Engineering on issues that may have impacted an order and discuss the expectation for similar future orders that are being quoted.
