VTG provides support for various Navy Contracts. In support of these contracts, VTG is looking for a Project Controller to ensure all budgeting, scheduling, and coordination processes run smoothly. This position will report to our Washington, DC, or Chantilly, VA, office.This is a hybrid role (onsite/remote).
What will you do?
The Project Controller's duties would include the following:
- Planning
- Assist with budget forecasting (allocation of funding and hours).
- Baselining project activities within MS Project.
- Execution
- Support PM in directing and managing project work.
- Prepare and submit billing documents.
- Compile technical and other financial/contract reporting.
- Electronic filing of contract documents.
- Assist with preparation of contract purchasing requirements IAW the Purchasing Policy.
- Provide responses to customer financial inquiries and data calls.
- Support the Contracting Officer Representative (COR)
- Assist with and participate in monthly status meeting.
- Monitor and Control
- Manage deliverable QA process.
- Maintain project schedule and updates.
- Manage expenditure of funding and hours.
- Assist with budget re-forecasting and maintenance
- Preparing Estimates to Complete (ETC).
- Understand customer funding documents and modifications.
- Subcontract Management - working with Contracts Department.
- Preparing technical instructions and modification for subcontractors.
- Maintain subcontractor tracking file.
- Assist with subcontractor correspondence.
- Review of subcontractor and other direct cost invoices.
Do you have what it takes?
Required Skills:
- Must have and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Five years of DoD experience.
- Two years of Project Control experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Skills:
- Budget execution, subcontractor management, purchasing, billing and Deltek Costpoint System.
- Excel (Pivot tables, charting, formulas).
- MS Project (Basic): task creation, maintenance; task durations, dependencies.
- Financial and/or contracts experience.
- Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance or accounting.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
