A reputable, growing commercial general contractor company in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking to add a knowledgeable Project Accountant to their team.

Construction Project Accountant is a mid-level professional that leads all financial and fiscal management of the project.
Must be capable of ensuring that all team members, including Project Management, Superintendent and Engineering maintain compliance in adhering to the company Financial Policy and Procedures and will communicate any potential profitability and/or risk to management.
This position is also expected to be able to fulfill the GAAP accounting and project forecasting requirements of multiple mid-sized or singular large project.
Project locations and assignments may vary. On-site visits (if not stationed on-site) is mandatory.
Job Duties:
• Maintenance of Notice to Owner Log in CMiC is mandatory
• Process, code and enter invoices and subcontract requests for payment.
• Prepare monthly client billings
• Assist with the collection of accounts receivable as requested for the project.
• Monitor and manage of all accounts created/established for the project.
• Prepare and document items required for subcontractor check release.
• Prepare Releases of Lien and Releases of Claim as required.
• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll time sheet entry and collection for job-site.
• Prepare and circulate weekly project payable and insurance compliance updates, with status narratives of action taken to project teams
• Preparation and submission of timely and accurate billing reconciliations to job cost.
• Assist PM with accounting reports/issues they may need and audit/reconcile the job cost detail.
• Assist, support and train Project Accountants as needed
Qualifications:
Candidate must have initiative, be a team player along with displaying independent thinking.
Must also have the ability to perform cost analysis and be organized to maximize efficiency. Additionally, candidate must be able to be flexible to work either in the corporate office facility or on-site (project location).
Education/Credentials:
• Bachelor of Science, Accounting or Finance
• 3-5+ years of related experience as a Project Accountant in a construction environment supporting project managers and project teams - construction industry experience is required
