Position Description
Origis Energy is seeking a finance professional for the role of Project Finance Associate to join our growing team. This position reports to the Senior Director Project Finance, and will assist the Company in evaluating and managing investment projects, equity and debt financing as well as analyzing different markets to invest in.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Finance related tasks, including:
- Assist in sourcing and managing the full capital stack of a project, including sourcing of tax equity and debt financing processes
- Support and coordinate investment projects through due diligence process
- Financial modeling, structuring, project planning and administration or manage associates and analysists in such work
- Assist in negotiations of contractual and legal project documents led by senior management, legal counsel and the project development team (MIPSA, Power Purchase Agreements, Leases, Letters of Intent, Financing documents, etc.)
- Coordinate and instruct independent contractors and professionals as well as in-house teams working on the investment project, such as owners, financial institutions, lawyers, consultants, engineering and building contractors, developers, construction supervisors
- New market research and analysis includes:
- Broad-based market and policy research, concluding on the overall attractiveness of a market to invest in
- Prepare commercial offers for Power Purchase Agreements and coordinate the related process
- Ability to understand state and local programs
- Analyze the incentive and tax environment and ability to underwrite various revenue streams
- Assist in overall strategic budget and planning exercises
- Financial Planning & Analysis duties includes:
- Prepare detailed budgets for investment projects, reporting on budget to actuals and be responsible for cash management on relevant investment projects
- Coordinate all activities to assure a successful and timely realization of the project
- Communicate with accounting and FP&A department on changes on projects
- Other tasks include:
- Assist management in the acquisition and sale of projects
- General support for ad hoc strategic initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree. MBA preferred with banking experience/project financing
- Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in solar, market portfolio acquisition
- Exposure to PPA agreements and funding projects
- Source, evaluate and execute projects with developers
- Strong financial modeling skills
