THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
Positions open due to multiple, ongoing remodel, expansion and ground up Retail Projects. The Superintendent is responsible for all site construction activities including all field and subcontractor personnel as required to successfully complete the project/work on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, coordinating all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Maintains the job site office and closes out projects. This client will look at candidates that live anywhere in Florida or who are open to local travel and some night work.
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- 5 years minimum experience supervising/coordinating subcontractor trades
- Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production in all phases of construction
- Ground up and / or Retail Upfit experience for Big Box Retail, Grocery Stores, Strip Malls etc. (Walmart Experience is a strong plus!)
- Knowledge and experience in field supervision, quality control, scheduling, ordering, safety and production throughout all phases of the construction process
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Training preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and basic mathematical skills
- Must be self-driven, team planner and able to multi-task and switch gears in a fast-paced environment while maintaining and fostering a positive attitude with others
- Able to interact and maintain a positive relationship with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportations and a willingness to travel
