Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Assistant Director and Program Coordinator in planning, and implementing Parks & Recreation programs, Special Events and sports.
- Ensure storage areas and equipment are well maintained, organized and have an appropriate amount of supplies.
- Assist with operations of departmental software, including trouble shooting users problems and processing registrations.
- Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a safe and fun environment, including keeping facilities clean.
- Provide support for Parks & Recreation or Township events.
- Assist with department marketing efforts.
- Serve as a Hempfield Parks & Recreation ambassador and role model.
- Be proactive in all assigned responsibilities.
- Practices open and positive communication.
- Have a growth mind set which includes being flexible and adaptable, learning new things, and a desire to always improve.
- Attendance at staff meetings and trainings.
- Provide other services and perform other duties as requested by full time Hempfield Township Parks & Recreation Staff.

RequirementsQualifications:
Education & Experience: Recreation experience preferred.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The individual must possess the following skills and abilities or be able to demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential function of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Must demonstrate outstanding customer service skills.
- Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time, and devise solutions to immediate problem.
- Must possess a general understanding of recreational programs and how they are conducted.
- Skills in operating a computer with general understanding of Microsoft and Windows OS.
- Knowledge and understanding of US currency.
- Understanding English language.
- Must obtain Act 34 Clearances, CPR and First Aid within six weeks of employment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
