Job Description
SUMMARY
CSET is looking for a motivated, creative, and outgoing individual to work in our Employment Connection Visalia office to assist Tulare County residents in the One Stop Resource Room. Applicants must have computer skills, knowledge of local labor market and employer expectations, and ability to work with customers who have varying personalities and diversity. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
The purpose of this position is to ensure Employment Connection & CSET are represented in a highly professional manner, always with courtesy, and respect of individuals seeking information or community assistance. The incumbent of this position will provide customer service support including, but not limited to responding to customer inquiries in the Resource Room, operating the telephone communication system, performing clerical work and assisting with the coordination and implementation of One Stop Services for the AJCC full service One Stop commonly known as the Employment Connection.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operates telephone communication system. Answers incoming calls, greets callers, provides information, transfers calls and/or takes messages as necessary.
Provides exceptional customer service for individuals from various backgrounds that include efficient, precise, and courteous communication in a professional environment.
Greets persons entering establishment, determines nature and purpose of visit and directs or escorts them to specific destinations or contacts appropriate staff.
Alerts appropriate management staff of any incidents or immediate threats in the lobby area.
Relays and routes verbal and written messages.
Performs clerical duties, such as typing, scheduling appointments, and outgoing mail.
Prepares and modifies documents including correspondence, flyers, memos, and emails.
Trains participants in front office procedures including customer service, office phones, and services provided.
Provides information about the agency to customers and other community members such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, and services provided.
Greets and provides necessary paperwork for individuals interviewing for positions within the organization.
Performs other duties including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
Participates in training and professional development to build required knowledge for the position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position reports to a Senior Program Coordinator and does not supervise staff.

Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Possess in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the various company programs and the ability to communicate policy information in a clear and detailed manner.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
One year experience providing customer service to low-income individuals; possession of High School diploma or equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively with groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures for accounting purposes.
Ability to apply basic bookkeeping and record keeping principles.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
California Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.

Salary Range: $17.46 - $23.80 hourly
