What You'll Do
We are seeking a Program Specialist to join our expanding National Hospitality Programs team! This person will be responsible for the development and maintenance of renewal reporting, identifying and balancing account differences, and the preparation of premium, exposure, and loss exhibits. A successful applicant will preferably have previous insurance knowledge, must possess a strong financial foresight, strong communication skills and build relationships. This role will require strong self-direction, problem solving and analytical skills.
This role can be located in Wichita, KS, Overland Park, KS, or Dallas, TX and is eligible for hybrid work!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develop processes to track and monitor premiums, taxes, exposures, and claims
  • Provide support to the Program Manager by preparing coverage comparisons, submissions, premium & rate comparisons, and other special requests
  • Ability to problem-solve and suggest proactive solutions
  • Responsible for assigned program needs i.e. allocation spreadsheets, monthly carrier reporting
  • Apply the AMS to keep detailed information on accounts (uploading policies, inputting large schedules, driver lists, etc.)
  • Work within established underwriting processes to resolve eligibility of risk and apply rating / pricing methodologies
  • With direction of Director of Hospitality Programs, responsible for account servicing needs during the policy year - including rating, quoting, binding, and tracking of policies and endorsements
  • Accountable for maintaining account files
  • Maintains program underwriting logs and production statistics as needed
  • Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values

You Should Have:
  • 3+ years applicable experience required
  • Commercial insurance experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with MS Office products required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Limited travel required (less than 10%)
