The Division of Environmental Health at the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences at USC is seeking a Project Specialist to manage and coordinate a research and administrative tasks within the Center for Translational Research on Environmental Health (RTEN) and the Southern California Environmental Health Sciences Center (SCEHSC). This role will involve direct collaboration with center directors and other investigators.
Responsibilities include: (1) Coordinating meetings, committees, and events related to the centers; (2) Managing research projects and grants including coordination of sample shipments, purchasing, and submitting invoices, (3) Contributing to and coordinating annual reports to funding source; (4) Communicating with community-based organizations; (5) Maintaining center websites and developing graphics for web, presentations, and publications.
Excellent communication skills are required, as is the ability to work on multiple tasks. Above all, we are seeking staff who are enthusiastic about learning about environmental health in a large and successful university research and teaching group. Opportunities to develop research media and translation activities to make results more useful to communities impacted by environmental exposures and to policy makers. A degree in public health or environmental sciences is a plus.
The hourly rate range for this position is $30.27-$38.88.
