About Us The St. Louis Jewish Community Center (the J) has been providing excellent health and cultural experiences for the entire community for over 140 years. We are hiring for a Full-TIme Program Registrar.
Summary: Provide great customer service to our customers as their central point of contact for program registrations. Ensure registrations are accurately processed with appropriate payment and completed forms. Manage all aspects of the after-school program (Club at SFC) and the aftercare program for J Day Camps at SFC. Required hours to work are Monday – Friday 9:30am – 6:00pm.
Responsibilities:
Program Registrar:
- Process program registrations in Salesforce (incoming from mail, phone, in-person) for multiple JCC departments.
- Proactively handle communications regarding payment to ensure that all payments are received prior to program participation.
- Actively coordinate with customers, program staff, accounting staff, and collections/scholarship coordinator.
- Run reports and download/manipulate in Excel as needed for program management regarding registrations, proactively alert if programs full.
- Learn about and maintain current knowledge about JCC programming to answer customer questions and or to connect customers to the appropriate agency contact.
After School Program (Club at SFC) and Day Camps after Care Director:
- Hire, train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff to carry out assigned programs and activities. Ensure all employees are current on required certifications and safety training. Set clear expectations for each member of the team, hold accountable, provide guidance and feedback on a regular basis.
- Plan, organize and supervise The Club at SFC and Day Camp aftercare at SFC.
- Purchase and manage inventory of equipment needed for programming.
Other Responsibilities:
- Adhere to JCC policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain customer satisfaction and confidence by providing outstanding customer service.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- College degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
- Prior experience using Salesforce preferred.
- Prior collections experience preferred.
- American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification is required for the position; training provided.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to delight customers and tactfully manage situations.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Must be able to solve problems and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
