Job Description
Syracuse University's Center for Experiential Pedagogy & Practice (CEPP) is seeking to fill the position of Program Manager. The successful applicant will report to the Executive Director and help enact a broad vision for simulation education at Syracuse University.
The position will ensure effective daily operations of simulation and clinical education, including all functions of recruitment and management of standardized individuals (Sls), daily invoicing and budget management, simulation training, highly-effective data protection and archival practices, establishing effective Central New York K-12 and corporate partnerships, supporting collegiate learners, and contributing to current and future externally-funded projects in experiential education across the human-helping professions.
Qualifications
- Masters In Education or Counseling & Human Services (required)
- Three (3) plus years of experience K-12 Public Education (required)
Job Specific Qualifications
- Knowledge of Clinical Simulation concept in medical or educator preparation contexts; Excellent budgeting and scheduling skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft skills Excellent communication skills
- Excellent data management/video archival skills
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Director to ensure the continued implementation of simulation learning opportunities in undergraduate and graduate programs in various schools and colleges at the university, and with distinct groups of learners in Central New York
- Engage in and accurately manage all fiscal responsibilities associated with recruiting, training, and compensating standardized/simulated individuals for services rendered in simulation.
- Develop internal policies and practices to track learner experiences in simulation, ensure learner and SI confidentiality and ensure data protection and archival practices in accordance with IRB expectations. Create and maintain additional policies and practices as may be needed.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures for training, monitoring, and assessing the performance of standardized/simulated individuals (Sis)
- Engage the broader CEPP team to explore and integrate current and emerging instructional technologies in support of simulated, clinical, and f2f learning environments
