Are you a certified (32-hours initial and 8-hours annual refresher) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) specialist with experience and expertise leading or supporting a team of EEO Investigators, Counselors, and Final Agency Decision writers? POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you shall support and assist in leading our EEO team and provide remarkable customer experiences for our federal government, private corporations, nonprofit clients, and team. You will interact with HR Anew senior management, corporate staff, client managers, and others involved with our EEO and workplace investigations group. This position will be an extension of the President and Chief Executive Officer and shall mentor or lead individuals or teams and enhance innovative, smart, and standardized infrastructures, systems, policies, processes, procedures, and best practices.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure client deliverables are performed precisely according to performance work statements and scopes of work.
  • Proactively bring additional opportunities and needs to the attention of the CEO to ensure optimal client experiences (internal and external) to enhance relations and retention.
  • Assign EEO and HR/workplace investigation staff to case assignments.
  • Attend meetings and prepare weekly and monthly client or company reports as requested.
  • Proactively assess and analyze information to gain insights and make recommendations to enhance HR Anew services, products, and systems.
  • Help to build, implement, maintain, measure, and enhance structures, systems, SOPs, policies, processes, and practices that can be replicated and scalable.
  • Team player, fast learner, resourceful, and able to exhibit a customer-focused approach to troubleshoot, resolve problems, and help to ensure repeat business for the company.
  • Orient, onboard, mentor, coach, or oversee HR Anew employees and independent contractors to ensure they meet or exceed company and client performance and productivity expectations to succeed in their assignments and deliverables.
  • Manage private, sensitive, and confidential matters involving all internal and external customers.
  • A relationship builder and team player with constructive courage to lead change while nurturing positive relationships.
  • Recommend and help implement corrective action plans to solve client and organizational problems and promote retention of clients, their people, and the team at HR Anew.
  • Support or lead the recruiting, orientation, and onboarding of EEO or Fact-Finding Investigators and EEO Counselors.
  • Perform quality review of EEO and workplace investigative plans, document requests, reports of investigation, fact-finding reports, position statements, and case files.
  • Oversee employee relations and employment compliance matters for private sector and nonprofit clients.
  • Assist with the evolution of HR Anew digital workspaces/portals and technology systems.
  • Perform other duties by leading and participating on special project teams and assignments requiring a high degree of skill and expertise.
  • Work flexibly and be willing to undertake other duties as reasonably requested.

Job Requirements

Education and Credentials

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Legal, Political Science, English, Technical Writing or a related field is highly desired. An advanced degree such as an MBA or JD is a plus. Education may be substituted for equivalent and highly applicable work experience.
  • Certified EEO Investigator in accordance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) MD-110 is required - 32 hour EEO and 8 hours annual EEO Refresher training is essential.
  • Must maintain a current EEO certification.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a federal government background investigation.

Experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive advancement in in the delivery of EEO services with federal government experience and a working knowledge of Title VII, specific to conducting, interviewing, preparing, reviewing, and/or approving Title VII investigation plans and reports of investigations.
  • A paralegal or person with employment law experience, or HR professional with an employee or labor relations background that is certified as an EEO Investigator and has the appropriate experience described herein may be considered.
  • Proficient knowledge of a wide range of Title VII and related laws, rules, regulations required to provide comprehensive analysis of case assignments and documents provided during the course of an investigation.
  • Proven ability to show initiative, assertiveness, and resourcefulness to address customer needs; and an ability to bring an advisory approach to EEO services.
  • Project management training helpful.

Technology and Equipment

  • Advanced to expert knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Pro, and other related data management systems used to perform work assignments and communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to operate office equipment: fax, copier, scanner, phone, and computer.
  • Must have a private and secure home office space with proper office equipment, including computer, videoconferencing resources, telephone, printer and scanner.
  • Ability to use the internet for research, communications, training, and portal with minimal outages.
