Currently, Alliant seeks a Program Manager. This position is remote but must reside in one of the company's operating states; AL, GA, FL, TN, KY, NC, SC, OH, LA, TX. The COE-NF Program Manager will support the operations of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) funded contract for the Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health in Nursing Facilities. The Program Manager will be responsible for the day- to- day operations and direct supervision of Behavioral Specialist(s) with diverse backgrounds and experiences working across the Unites States and US territories providing outreach, technical assistance, and training coordination for nursing facilities on topics related to mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. The Program Manager will direct the development and dissemination of resources and workforce development trainings for nursing home facilities requesting consultation on Serious Mental Illness (SMI) Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and Co-occurring Disorders (COD). The Program Manager will work to ensure culturally competent engagement with a health equity lens when working with the nursing facility personnel.
In this role, the ideal candidate:
- Provides technical assistance, training, and oversight to the Behavioral Specialists working with adult nursing facilities
- Assess, engage, improve, monitor, and sustain effective mental health and substance use practices to achieve better outcomes for nursing home residents with SMI, SED, SUD, or COD
- Leads and coaches’ behavioral specialists in the identification of resources and quality improvement plans for nursing facilities
- Evaluate the availability of evidence-based training and technical assistance addressing behavioral health disorder identification, treatment, and recovery support services
- Collaborate on the development of processes, training curriculum, and educational resources for nursing facilities to support residents with mental health, co-occurring, and substance use disorders
- Establishes a bureau of subject matter experts to facilitate trainings and webinars
- Monitors, assesses, evaluates, and analyzes data of the COE-NF call center and service data to identify gaps in delivery to build strong behavioral health services in nursing facilities
- Develops comprehensive written reports
- Networks, develops, and cultivates relationships with adult nursing facilities and behavioral health personnel to promote engagement and interaction with the COE-NF
- Builds partnerships with state, local, federal, and national organizations to support the efforts of the COE-NF
- Assess facilities readiness, capacity, needs, and interests to support the mental health and substance use needs of residents
- Use the COE-NF assessment results to tailor trainings and guide quality improvement strategies
- Actively monitors the efforts of the COE-NF, provides feedback and data analysis of findings to management
- Represent the COE-NF as needed at community events, conferences, and networking groups
- Engage, train, and manage relationships with community partners to expand the COE-NF visibility and programmatic reach across the US and US territories

- Intermediate user in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), Smartsheet project management tool experience preferred
- Skill and ability to organize and prioritize work with attention to detail
- Ability to analyze and report data related to health care and drive desired results
- Ability to plan and implement programs and evaluate success
- Ability to travel as needed by car or airplane to Alliant offices or customer locations
Education, experience and training required and preferred for the position are below:
Required:
- Experience as a Nursing Home Administrator, Registered Nurse leadership role (ie DON), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Medical Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW, or Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)
- Five (5) years’ experience in an adult long-term care nursing facility (skilled nursing facility)
- Three (3) years management and supervisory experience
- Demonstrated leadership in current work duties/performance and skills
Preferred:
- Experience using Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software and Smartsheet for program management
- Experience working in service delivery and treatment of adults with mental health and substance use disorders
