This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as experience in maintaining responsibility for overall program management, strategic planning, budgeting, communications, and all managerial, administrative, and programmatic functions. Managing and implementing any specific law, regulation and/or statute that may be required to successfully carry out the mission of the Agency.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
- Ability to collaborate with other key officials in developing Division plans and programs, both immediate and long-range, formulated and carried out by the Division.
- Ability to provide consultation to high level officials to ensure sound and productive decisions are made within the agency.
- Ability to advise senior management on training programs and operations programs by providing direction.
- Ability to collaborate on special projects.
- Skill in oral communication.
- Skill in negotiation.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
