The PMO Excellence role focuses on developing and promoting best practices, standards and processes related to the provision of Digital Technology (DT) business value for Strategic Business Unit (SBU) success and Raytheon Functional integration. This role assists in the communication of DT’s value proposition and creating a sense of direction for Program Digital Services (PDS) to continue driving optimum value for Raytheon business.
PMO Excellence provides guidance, support, and standardization for reporting activities across SBUs, PDS and DT through venues such as SBU operational reviews, PDS monthly business reviews and SBU monthly reviews to the CIO. As such, this role guides the development of outcome-driven and operationally focused metrics that connect technology provision and innovation to specific SBU business outcomes. Additionally, PMO Excellence will conduct a benefits realization on SBU requirements and demand, validating that Digital Services provided were valuable and adopted.
PMO Excellence will work closely with the Digital Business Office to build greater cohesion around digital investments, including standardizing the SBU demand intake process and the prioritization of investments per business case / requirements.
This role helps develop DT as a strategic partner, guiding an understanding of the digital landscape and scope of work across all SBUs, including the DT-supported Raytheon products, program work environments, and resources required. Success in PMO Excellence requires strategic and forward thinking, the ability to have courageous conversations, and strong leadership with the ability to motivate and influence change.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Develop a 12-month strategic roadmap that provides focus, direction and alignment of Digital Technology (DT) and Program Digital Services (PDS) goals with Strategic Business Unit (SBU) goals. Quarterly reviews should be established to track progress and recalibrate as necessary.
Create a communication and reporting plan for digital value capture, securing strong executive support to ensure a top-down and bottom-up approach. The value should be traceable to DT and Raytheon strategy and goals.
Establish a baseline of current SBU satisfaction – measure the current state and understanding of digital value. Carry out analysis techniques such as surveys, 1:1 stakeholder engagement, or focus group sessions to help identify challenges around key areas relating to demand intake, solution delivery and execution, and value provision.
Shape the future state of digital value provision, communication, and reporting. Improve customer satisfaction.
Lead a cross-functional team to address SBU demand intake and Raytheon functional requirements, and work with the Digital Business Office to incorporate the checkpoint process.
Help the SBU DT Leads measure performance and risk via scorecards (such as control towers). Enable the SBU DT Leads to communicate the business value provided by DT’s digital imperatives. Establish OKRs and KPIs that are aligned to actions, deliverables, and business outcomes.
Guide the SBU DT Leads in the development of DT’s strategic long-range plan (5-year plan) and the prioritization of the upcoming year AOP.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
