SalaryA leading University in New Brunswick is seeking a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Program Coordinator. This is a 6 months temp to perm position and will support a diversity initiative. Title: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Program Coordinator
Pay rate: $30/hr - $40/hr (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 500 pm
Location: New Brunswick
Duties include but not limited to the following;
Develop and institute strategies for engagement in DEI.
Assists with the creation and coordination of communication and distribution of DEI resources. creation of presentation and training materials to support DEI efforts
Organizes and oversees the coordination of DEI events, training, workshops, seminars and symposiums
Coordinates administrative needs for DEI program, including meeting set up, material prep, communication reminders, vendors, and employee activities.
Supports development, reporting, and metrics forecast for DEI programs and activities.
Manages and responds to internal inquiries about DEI initiatives and activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred.
Experience in program development, needs assessment and evaluation preferred.
Experience in rolling out diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives would be ideal. Candidates with experience in implementing other related programs such as HR initiatives will also be considered.
Knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding access, equity, diversity, inclusion, implicit bias and institutional racism.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Experience in working effectively and influencing decision makers with a variety of personalities in a fast-paced, progressive environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner. Careful attention to detail, accuracy in performing job duties and acts with a sense of urgency.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and a positive outlook.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
