Position Summary:
Sepsis Alliance is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team of passionate professionals, as a part-time (up to 20 hours a week) Program Coordinator. Sepsis Alliance is expanding its public and healthcare professional education and training programs to improve sepsis awareness and readiness nationally. Reporting to the Community and Content Manager, and working with both the Healthcare Professional Education & Training (PET) team and the Public Education, Awareness, and Support team, the Program Coordinator will provide critical support to ensure optimal creation and distribution of educational activities for healthcare professionals across the continuum of care as well as for members of the public, including those personally impacted by sepsis.
Responsibilities and Duties
Content Management:
- Add multimedia content to Sepsis Alliance platforms.
- Review enduring activities for grammar and usability.
- Post webinar and event information.
- Support maintenance of sepsis.org website content.
Program Coordination:
- Manage Zoom links and registrations
- Coordinate schedules and documentation with presenters/facilitators
- Serve as first-line support for webinars, presentations, and support inquiries
- Coordinate email communication and reminders
Resource Creation and Management:
- Create and edit presentations and materials
- Maintain healthcare professional documentation folders and project management tools
- Maintain user feedback database and identify areas for improvement
Database and Reporting:
- Prepare data reports.
- Maintain databases for contacts, registrations, and sponsors
- Support compliance with accreditation standards
- Support Grants Manager with project reporting
Event Support:
- Support sponsors in optimizing virtual exhibits
- Coordinate deliverables for special projects with educational components
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with community management and learning management systems, Higher Logic and Elevate a plus
- Experience with web content management, WordPress a plus
- Experience with virtual meeting and webinar software, Zoom, and Teams a plus
- Experience in continuing education for healthcare professionals
- Experience or strong interest in patient/family engagement
- Technology savvy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable communicating professionally with healthcare professionals, sepsis survivors and caregivers, and business executives
- Able to exhibit empathy when working with those impacted by sepsis
- Experience working remotely preferred
- High level of familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint and Teams
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Genuine interest in making change happen and doing good in the world
- Able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work independently, and maintain project deadlines
- Interest in learning new skills and ability to suggest process improvements
- College degree with 1-3 years of experience
- Education, experience, or interest in not-for-profit work and/or healthcare a plus
- Database experience preferred, Salesforce a plus
