Brakin Out is a non profit that focuses on rehabilitating former juvenile delinquents in order to provide them with a future brighter than their past.

Summary of the Position: This position is responsible to provide direct support for the Built For This program. Program Coordinator should have a strong knowledge of the day to day operations of the program. This position oversees the behavioral health (at-risk) services as it relates to providing community outreach and support.
Primary Responsibilities include:
-Assist in writing of federal, state and other organization bids, cooperative agreements and grants.
-Write and implement comprehensive budgets for assigned projects including fiscal tracking.
-Prepare technical reports and organize deliverables that meet acceptable standards on federal and state contracts.
-Maintain communication with various federal and state partners with regards to contracts and agreements.
-Ensure high quality data and safety standards are followed on projects.
Appointment terms and Time Commitment Required
The Program Officer is appointed for a term of 3 years.
The estimated time commitment required as the Board Program Coordinator is "10" hours per week.
Attendance at monthly Board Meetings (approx "1.5" hours in length).

- You have strong verbal and written communication skills. You are comfortable working across partners, participants and community members of varying ages, cultural backgrounds and lived experiences. You're equally ready to add in to a meeting with our youth advisory or governmental funder.
Extra things that can support your application:
- Your program coordination experience is in work readiness/employment programming for youth facing barriers.
- You completed post-secondary education in Youth Programming, Recreation, Social Services, Community Engagement or another related field.
- You've previously completed or worked on a grant-funded project that requires funder reporting.
- You speak a second language.
