Skills:
- Minimum of one year of experience in real estate, property management, or housing assistance programs.
- STRONG verbal and written experience communication skills, proficient in Microsoft office.
Duties:
1. Develop relationships with landlords; explain the benefits of DCA housing assistance programs.
2. Maintain a database of available units
3.Conduct an assessment interview with each household referred to determine their needs and obstacles that they may face in search for housing.
4.Identify potential housing opportunities; assists households with completing housing applications.
5 Advocate for the household with prospective landlords.
6.Provide written information about landlord and tenant rights and responsibilities to both the program participants and landlords.
7 Review and explain the requirements of the lease in order to assist the program participants understand their responsibilities.
