Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey’s School of Health Professions is searching for a Director of its Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and administration of a new Bachelor of Science OTA Program, including curriculum development, strategic planning, budgeting, faculty selection, and accreditation maintenance. - · Minimum of a master’sdegree awarded by an institution that is accredited bya regional or national accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Doctoral degree preferred.
- Certified occupational therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant that is licensed in New Jersey (or eligible to become licensed).
- Minimum 5-years of documented experience in Occupational Therapy; experience must include:
- At least 2 years in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the postsecondary level.
- Administrative experience including, but not limited to, program planning and implementation, personnel management, evaluation, and budgeting.
- Understanding of and experience with Occupational Therapy Assistants
- Scholarship (e.g., scholarship of teaching and learning)
- Clinical practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant or occupational therapist
