Program Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Set-up and run daily programming across many different interest areas (arts, recreation, education, cultural exchange, etc.)
• Develop relationships with members based on respect and trust, ensuring they have a safe place to develop their identity and place in society
• Establish boundaries and challenge inappropriate behavior
• Mange front desk task such as answering phones, checking members in, and providing tours of guests
• Work in partnership with program partners who deliver programming for members
• Attend regular training and development opportunities to maintain up-to-date knowledge on human interaction, safeguarding, and leadership development.
• Mentor, coach and support individuals, encouraging greater social inclusion
• Other duties as assigned by Program Director and/or Program Coordinator

Requirements:

• Be bilingual (proficient in Spanish and English)
• Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of digital platforms (social media,computer skills)
• Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation
• Enjoy working with youth, young adults, adults, and seniors
• Adaptability
• Self-motivation
• Close attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead
• Ability to work under pressure
• Administrative and clerical skills
• Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
