Job Description
Delta Precision Components LLC. is a manufacturer of complex aerospace components and assemblies with operations in Livonia, Michigan. The company’s capabilities include high-speed CNC Lathes, Mills, Gear Grinders, and finishing, among others. The company specializes in small, medium, and large-scale aircraft assemblies of varying complexity for the commercial aerospace and defense industry.
Primary Responsibilities
- Key customer contact leading all communication between departments related to the program.
- Communicate with customers via email, phone or meetings.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
- Understand customer and industry requirements and or demands.
- Research and analyze program alternatives and recommend best practices and look for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate schedules and monitor the progress of each program.
- Identify and minimize risk to goals, know when to elicit management control.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Schedule labor and/or machinery required to complete each task work cross functionally with Production leaders and other areas or departments.
- Calculate cost and communicate with all parties involved.
- Maintain accurate and up to date customer requirements and distribute to all participants.
- Effectively communicate progress of program to all internal and external participants
- Effectively communicate to all levels of the organization, including upper management.
- Escalate matters to all parties when needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or associate Degree, preferably in Business Management.
- A minimum of 5 years of plant level management experience.
- Understanding of general contracts, purchasing principles and Supply Chain policies.
- Ability to excel in a high visibility position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications including MS Project
- Successful problem-solving experience.
- Highly motivated
- Effective program/project management skills
- Ability to apply math skills and critical thinking.
