Description:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Teaching and administrative experience in a secondary educational setting, preferably in alternative settings
- Passion for supporting youth in overcoming obstacles and succeeding in education and employment
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction, blended learning, and post-secondary opportunities
- Comfort working with high school students from diverse backgrounds as well as their families and support networks
- Experience working collaboratively with internal staff, students, and external partners
- Ability to demonstrate clear and appropriate boundaries with youth
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of GED exam and curriculum
- Bachelor’s Degree, Colorado School Administrator’s License, or Colorado Teacher License
- Experience in hiring, training, and managing staff and building high functioning teams
- Experience in restorative practices, working with IEPs, 504s, and ELD populations
- Knowledge of local educational landscape and alternative school operations.
- Working knowledge of the area where the school is located, including school districts, community colleges, businesses, and community-based organizations
- Proficiency and literacy in Spanish
WORK SCHEDULE - This is a full-time position with demanding goals, which sometimes requires longer hours and flexible scheduling. The students mainly follow the partner school districts’ calendar, with any changes to ensure the school year encompasses enough contact days for full-time student status. Staff work year-round. Students attend Monday–Thursday from 7:30-5:30.
SALARY - This is an exempt position with a salary range of $50,000-$70,000 based upon qualifications, knowledge, and relevant experience
