West40’s Professional Learning Team is growing, and we are looking to hire new team members for the 24/25 school year. Candidates must hold a PEL and be able to coach all levels of educators and create ongoing job-embedded Professional Learning experiences for various audiences in the West Cook region (see job description). We are looking for individuals with a history of successful facilitation of adult learning in one or more specialty areas: special education, multilingual learners, early childhood, literacy, social-emotional learning/trauma-informed practices, and continuous improvement.

Reports To: Director of Professional Learning
Education Requirements: PEL, Bachelor's Degree, Master's degree preferred (e.g. C & I, Leadership, etc.)
Job Goal: To provide various personalized Professional Learning opportunities and supports that empower educators in our region to be their very best for kids.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Able to successfully lead the selection/creation/customization of Professional Learning to support and coach our diverse districts and partner entities.
2. Maintain ongoing, open communications with the Director of Professional Learning
3. Routinely offers creative/innovative suggestions for growth of position and department
4. Establish collaborative relationships with the district and building leadership to co-plan around their needs
5. Assure the set-up of service/project agreements and maintain accurate records for assigned projects/partnerships, including Toggl, Invoicing, Quarterly Validations, etc.
6. Represent West40 concerning statewide organizations and/or stakeholder groups and/or grant management
7. Ensure participants in PL events can sign in/out and acquire PDHs and CEUs.
8. Maintain a local active presence in the Professional Learning community by facilitating networks, communicating through listservs, and attending region-wide events within the West40 community
9. Recognize topics of high interest to our districts and take charge of their own learning to offer those opportunities regularly.
10. Model, lead, coach, and develop Professional Learning experiences for West40 staff
11. Other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Terms of Employment: Twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by Executive Director.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Director of Professional Learning in accordance with Board Policy.
