Learning Disability Specialist (Lbs1)

ABOUT THE JOB:

OT Associates Chicago is a concierge-style private practice offering in-home, in-school and virtual pediatric occupational therapy services and private tutoring designed to meet the individualized needs of our clients. We are looking to bring on a part-time Learning Disabilities Specialist to expand our scope of offerings to certain families that require that specialization in their treatment. This will be a contracted, 1099 role paid by the clinical hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Administer diagnostic evaluations, learning remediation, and parent/teacher consultation to school aged children
• Create learning plans and/or IEPs with to identify and exceed target areas for educational growth and form goals aligned to meet educational standards
• Participate in required meetings (IEP meetings, progress meetings, as needed appointments with faculty/staff, parents, and other)
• Provide consultation to teachers, parents, and supporting faculty
• Complete daily progress notes, weekly documentation of services provided, and quarterly report of student achievement

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid IL Professional Educator’s License endorsed for LBS1
• Valid Driver's License with access to a vehicle
• Applicants must have experience with school aged children with learning differences in reading, math, and written expression as well as experience with executive function skills

Pay: From $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week

• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
