Overview
Vikus Water is currently seeking a highly motivated licensed civil or environmental engineer with 10 to 20 years of experience in planning, design, design review, construction management, and utility operations oversite associated with water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and storm water management systems.

Responsibilities and Job Duties
- Work on water, wastewater and non-potable irrigation facility designs, master plans, alternative evaluations, optimization, cost analysis, permitting, construction engineering services, and/or facilities startup.
- Provide design and oversite of proposed and existing wastewater collection and potable water transmission systems.
- Manage the development, budget, implementation and oversite of long-term utility capital planning.
- Oversees the preparation of plans and contract specifications for capital improvement projects and assist in the bidding of these projects; to assure the project completion on time and budget.
- Review of site plans and development plans for conformance with municipal ordinances and regulatory compliance.
- Support water quality and water resource management efforts including permitting, data collection, and field sampling.
- Conduct engineering investigations and master planning efforts that include collection and analysis of data, routine calculations, and evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
- Manage construction activities for conformance with contract documents; assist in recordkeeping and in generating progress reports; observe construction procedures, and quality control testing.
- Prepare material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, and/or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations.
- Perform engineering calculations, specifically related to hydraulics and fluid dynamics.
- Perform field observations of construction where appropriate.
- Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
- Assist with field work and make site visits.
Qualifications Needed
- B.S. or M.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 10 - 20 years of Experience in Engineering for Water/Wastewater Utilities
- Professional Licensure
- Must have strong oral presentation skills and strong written communication skills
- Work well in multidisciplinary team environments and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of programs, specifically Excel and Word.
- Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, WaterCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models or other water modeling software)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
