Production Worker (A Shift)

Position Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Operate Forklift to move steel pipes to appropriate locations

• Build wooden skids or crates with required power or hand tools;

• Band together heavy finished steel products

• Load material into various machines; operate the push button for Saw, Press, and Drill Machines

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation by completing necessary records

• Maintain a safe work environment by following procedures, complying with legal regulations and company policies

• Keep equipment operating by following written operating instructions, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs

• Accomplish manufacturing and organization mission by completing other related tasks as needed

• Dependability and timeliness are critical to effective operations and planning

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Education Requirements? At least 1 year of warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred

• Possess basic knowledge of computer systems and equipment maintenance

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

• Must be able to communicate effectively with leadership and teammates

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must have reliable transportation

• Must have authorization to work in the United States

• Must have the ability to read/write and understand both verbal and written work instructions, work orders and customer specifications

• Basic math and measurement skills required (addition, subtraction, decimal and fraction conversions); able to accurately read a tape measure

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed

• Able to stand (70%); walk (10%); stoop, kneel, bend or crouch (20%), as required

• Frequent twisting, horizontal reaching, upper extremity push/pull, bending

• Able to wear required PPE; ear plugs, safety glasses, and steel toed boots

• Most of the year temperatures inside the plant will match or exceed the outdoor conditions as bay doors remain open

• Weld smoke and metal cutting machine filtration systems minimize smoke but do not eliminate it. Air quality is below OSHA PEL (Permissible Exposure Limits) guidelines; therefore, Respirator use not required by standard, Voluntary Use only- must have medical evaluation prior.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
