Summer Vacation Temporary Role

Manufacturing – Production Worker – Summer Vacation Temporary Full Time

Our summertime opportunity has a potential start date in May 2024 and is scheduled to end September 1st, 2024.This is a great opportunity to be a part of GM's all electric future. Our summertime production position is great for anyone 18 or over interested in supply chain, operations, manufacturing, technology, or someone seeking stable employment for the summer. There may be an opportunity for long term employment if business permits.

Manufacturing – Production Worker – Temporary, Full Time

What You'll Love:

  • Competitive Pay: $21.00 per hour.

  • Shift Premiums: Because this role will require 100% shift flexibility, we will provide shift premiums for those who are assigned unconventional hours = 5% shift premium for 2nd shift and 10% for 3rd shift.

What We're Looking For:

  • You prioritize a safe workplace for everyone and understand, support, and execute all work in a safe manner and contribute to a culture that promotes safety as its overriding priority.

  • You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment and learn new tasks and adapt to frequent job duty changes as required by business or manpower demands.

  • You're obsessed with precision and top-notch quality work and can complete tasks within designated timeframes to meet operational expectations.

  • Staying precise with tools, machinery, and equipment such as a tugger to load, unload, transfer and move materials within the assembly plant. This equipment could operate at heights of up to 35 feet.

  • You’re able to read, comprehend, and follow written, standardized work instructions and trained procedures.

  • Ready to grow, cooperate, and contribute to our dynamic team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Quick response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals are a must.

  • This position requires walking and standing.

  • Comfortably wear personal protective equipment.

  • Navigate a busy environment.

  • Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach.

  • May need to lift or carry materials weighing up to 40 lbs. depending on department.

  • Material movement includes pushing racks

  • Drive vehicles and equipment when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 18+ years old.

  • Willing to work any shift.

  • Willingness for overtime.

  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements which includes drug testing and a background check.

  • Proficiency to listen, read, follow work and safety instructions.
