About the role

We are looking for someone comfortable working on 1st shift with the flexibility to support other shifts when needed, and open to career advancement opportunities. The hours and scheduled of this role will be Monday - Friday, 6:00AM - 3:00PM.
 
Our Production Supervisor is fundamental to our team. You'll be overseeing the production function, with at least 20 - 40 direct reports. This is key to our success, and so are you. Are coaching and developing employees something you're passionate about? Do you have an eye for process efficiencies and continuous improvement? You'll collaborate with other teams, coordinating production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control departments to achieve sustained and improved efficiencies. The typical pay range for this role is $72,000 to $92,000 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience, certifications, etc.  In addition to your pay, Kerry offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements). 

 

 

Key responsibilities

This role also requires attention to detail while completing daily tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and conducting regular visual line checks to ensure proper dating, labeling, and packaging.
 
Additional responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Support the SQF Food Safety and Quality System by implementing and following procedures, taking part in GMP inspections, conducting and/or participating in internal audits and management reviews and participating in training.
Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, developing, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Analyzes work orders to estimate employee hours and create equipment operating schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
Directs employees in adjusting machines and equipment to address products which fail to meet standards.
Develops capital equipment justifications for equipment, tools, and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.

Qualifications and skills

experience in a production environment (food manufacturing preferred). Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail, good communication, organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
Experiencing managing sanitation activities preferred.
Demonstrated success in developing/implementing continuous improvement initiatives and accountability programs. Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma experience preferred.
Demonstrated success assessing, developing, and retaining top talent.
Proven ability to drive process improvements, adhere to budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to lead with the following key competencies: Critical Thinking, Continuous Cost Focus, Technical Expertise, Influence and Delivery of Sustainable Results.
Must be able to troubleshoot problem(s) to develop corrective solutions.
Experience Supervising in a unionized work environment preferred.
Must be computer literate (Microsoft office)
SAP experience preferred.
