A well-established Metal Fabrication company in the Yakima area is searching for a Powder Coat & Assembly supervisor.

Production Supervisors Role at Stephens Metal Products: The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing various work cell teams in a fast paced, high volume, manufacturing environment. Primary responsibilities include driving and implementing continuous improvement solutions that enhance and ensure team safety, effectively allocate materials and resources, meet, or exceed production schedules, ensure 1st pass quality and work across the production system to continue to build on our positive workforce culture.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain departmental day-to-day production activities, monitor, and prioritize workflow, production schedules, quality, workplace safety and shift to shift workflow coordination.
- Supervise designated production staff attendance, performance, quality, and provide technical direction.
- Continuously improve and streamline work cell safety, production efficiency, product quality and cost savings.
- Work with work cell supervisor colleagues to enable and improve safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
- Assist in hiring and training and identify training needs.
· Other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
SUPERVISED WORK CELL OPPORTUNITIES
- Laser, Plasma, Waterjet, Saw, Shear, Press Brake, Punch, Roller, Hardware Insert, Assembly, Media Blast and Auto & Batch Line Powder Coat.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required - experience is most important.
- 2 years Supervisory/Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with a manufacturing-based operating system.
- Skills that are a plus, Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvement, Operations Management, Machine Operation, Quality Control, Job Scheduling.
- Knowledge of designated work centers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Frequently able to lift or move 25lbs+.
· Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment.
· Constant exposure to moderate noise.
· Constantly stand and walk throughout the shift.
· Occasional sitting throughout the day.
WAGE
$55,000 - $75,000 per year
