JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for all actions and activity of shift production personnel. The supervisor position will monitor progress and utilize controls to ensure that all operators are performing their job at an optimal level and standards for quality and production output are met.
Shift/hours - 12 HR Shift 6:00PM-6:30AM | Rotating Schedule - Working 2 days, off 2 days and back to work 3 days.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure adequate resources to run equipment, assign operators to equipment, lead all production employees at site during shift.
- Coordinate and coach all members of the production team.
- Monitor all shift production efficiencies, quality control, and scrap levels to ensure compliance with standards.
- Identify operating inefficiencies, operational and quality problems, and assume responsibility to drive corrective actions.
- Maintain product quality against standards. This includes ensuring materials and machine settings used to manufacture product are consistent with pre-set standards.
- Complete and review forms, documents, logs, and reports. Read, write, and review documents as required.
- Ensure standards for cGMP, gowning, housekeeping, and cleaning conforms to standards.
- Management responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day activities and outcomes of a group of employees.
- Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training, and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
- At least 3 years supervisory experience in an FDA regulated high speed manufacturing facility environment to include hiring, developing, motivating and directing non-exempt employees.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Ability to follow involved instructions, troubleshoot issues, schedule, organize, coordinate, train, and prepare operating procedures with minimal supervision.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree.
Work Experience
- 5 years of previous supervisory experience in a FDA regulated high speed manufacturing environment to include hiring, developing, motivating and directing non-exempt employees.
- 3-5 years experience in a drug/food manufacturing environment.
