In partnership with the State of Wisconsin, Bureau of Publishing and Distribution, we are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor! The Production Supervisor will foster a positive, team-oriented environment and ensure deadlines are met efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Coach and counsel team members to ensure good morale, high productivity, and positive team interaction
- Troubleshoot, correct, and report issues and problems on 1st shift
- Ensure your team is following established procedures and working efficiently
- Prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met efficiently
- Stage jobs to be run on the shift and subsequent shifts
- Perform diligent set-up checks (inserting) and print double checks to ensure quality control-related processes are consistently followed
- Communicate current and future business trends to your team and discuss scheduling including the need to schedule overtime
- Ensure that new hires are properly trained and feel supported in their learning
- Actively communicate and participate with the rest of the Leadership Team to ensure cooperation across all shifts. Actively participate in effective Shift Turnovers
- Proactively seek opportunities for self-improvement and improvement of the organization
- Dedicate your time to where you are needed (Print or Inserting/Metering or a 50/50 split during slower times)
- Ensure team members are aware of and following standard operating procedures
- Document standard operating procedures for training purposes and reference to ensure knowledge and continued growth of staff
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent degree, college coursework preferred
- 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in production
- Technical/mechanical aptitude
- Ability to problem solve, think critically, and resolve conflict in adverse conditions
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
