Key Responsibilities:
- Lead with Impact: Guide and support 1-2 areas or processes within our production facility, fostering a collaborative and efficient environment.
- Empower Your Team: Provide daily support, performance feedback, and appraisals to help team members thrive in both union and non-union settings.
- Champion Excellence: Enforce and educate on quality, safety, and 5S standards, recommending improvements to enhance production.
- Drive Innovation: Support maintenance, continuous improvement, and value stream projects to meet production schedules and business demands.
- Problem-Solve: Conduct root-cause analyses to identify and resolve issues, ensuring timely implementation of solutions.
- Lead Improvements: Champion process enhancements and lead Kaizen events, creating value stream mapping and standard work.
What We’re Looking For:
- Educational Background: High School Diploma or GED with three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills and Qualities:
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Adaptability and quick thinking.
- Drive for continuous improvement and change management.
- Accountability and team development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management: Ability to plan and organize projects effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Core Competencies:
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with peers and other departments, communicating sensitive or confidential information as needed.
- External Interaction: Limited external contact for information gathering and queries.
- Decision-Making: Regularly make informed decisions, applying alternatives or precedents as necessary.
- Complexity & Problem Solving: Navigate structured work with choices of action within policy limits.
- Supervisory Duties: Recommend personnel actions, schedule, supervise, and evaluate employees performing similar tasks.
Working Conditions:
- Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, hearing, talking, and visual tasks. Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
- Non-Physical Demands: Regular analysis, communication, math, reading, and writing tasks.
- Environmental Demands: Frequent task changes and tedious work, with occasional high-volume public contact.
- Work Schedule: Routine shift hours with infrequent overtime, weekend, or shift rotation.
- Demands/Deadlines: Occasional stress due to deadlines or workload pressures.
