Phoseon’s products enable faster, cleaner, and more efficient industrial processes for UV curing of photopolymers in adhesives, inks, and coatings.
Phoseon currently has an opening for a Production Supervisor on the Day Shift (Monday-Friday, 6 am – 3 pm). In this role you will be a key member of our Production staff reporting to our Senior Manager of Manufacturing. You must be a dedicated team player committed to working in a technical high growth organization, with strong relationship skills, and proven success in driving improvement. This position is 100% onsite, no telework available.
Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of Day Shift team (25-30 Production Technicians) to ensure production quality, output, cycle time and efficiency goals are met
- You will spend 80% of the time directly in the production area. This includes working hands-on supporting the team and solving problems.
- Ensure safety and quality requirements are met
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production job schedule and other work as assigned
- Train, cross-train, and develop the team
- Foster a team environment through training and communication; maintain a positive work environment
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for better quality, increased efficiency, shorter cycle time and lower cost
- Understand and become proficient on all system transactions and how they affect inventory including rework
- Ensure employee access to necessary tools and technical support
- Assist Operations Management & Manufacturing Engineering on development of documentation and performance metrics
Education and Experience Required:
- 5+ years of experience in technical manufacturing. Complex production builds in a high mix environment.
- 2-5 years of supervisory experience; direct, plan, train, organize, assign, and evaluate work performance of staff
- BS degree preferred
- Experience with Lean, 5S
- Syteline ERP a plus
