Production Supervisor

A large pipe manufacturing company based in Columbia, SC is seeking a seasoned Production Supervisor to join their growing team. This position will work in tandem with management and production associates in the safe and effective production of product. Competitive pay, benefits, and overtime available.
Responsibilities
• Prepares daily operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality meets expectation
• Reviews department production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Trains and assists hourly employees as needed to ensure adequate quality and productivity.
• Resolves issues and complaints or submits unresolved matters to Human Resources or Department Superintendent for further resolution.
• Reviews work orders to estimate worker hours and create schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
• Determines amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from purchasing department.
• Confers with department crew operators to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from Superintendent.

Qualifications
• 5+ years of manufacturing production experience with 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting (required)
• Experience using ERP Oracle/JDE (preferred)
• Any continued education and or certifications beyond HS, including Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement certs (preferred)
• Bachelor's Degree
