Job Description
- Supervise the maintenance staff on the floor counseling and aiding the team.
- Work with planner and review job packages responding to work orders.
- Monitor PM’s on equipment.
- Has control over quality, duration, cost, and thoroughness of work.
- Responsible for maintaining shop consumable inventory.
- Develop staff expertise leading to an optimum maintenance team.
- Presence is prominent on the floor for tactical decisions regarding schedules and personnel performance issues.
- Provide administrative and personnel functions defining and holding accountability for established SSP procedures.
- Control time lost between jobs, at breaks, and shift change.
- Continually stress the importance of safe working practices.
- Work with other supervisors for smooth shift transitions.
- Schedule training for associate development.
- Prefer a minimum of Associate Degree in Technology or Comparable military or work experience
- Extensive knowledge of LEAN standards and requirements.
- Must have 5 or more years of experience and/or training in supervision or management.
- Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups employees and provide clear, brief, and accurate guidance and instruction
- Ability to communicate professionally, respectfully, effectively, in manner that promotes growth and goal-oriented achievement.
- Must be able to work with difficult employee personalities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.
