Description
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Manage daily 2nd Shift production of product to meet customer expectations, while following all company standards and policies. Responsible for directing production activity, scheduling, and assignment of production Associates, active 5S leadership, and PDCA. Manage department's daily activity efficiently while promoting a positive atmosphere.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime

• Strive to reduce expenses across all lines

• Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines

• Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees

• Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management

• Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels

• Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group

• Overseeing the manufacturing and shipping processes and procedures in factory production operations

• Overseeing employee training to increase production, enhance safe operations and ensure profitability

• Inspecting products for quality and accuracy prior to shipping

• Maintaining communication between management and employees to ensure that necessary policies are understood and followed

• Ensuring that the flow of resources like raw materials are maintained and that production items are delivered as needed and used properly and efficiently

• Evaluating each station of the production process to maintain optimum efficiency

Ability to complete written reports legibly and accurately.
Requirements
DESCRIPTION OF QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 yrs. minimum experience in a supervisory role/production environment

• The desire for advancement

• Excellent attendance history a must

• Excellent verifiable work history

• Production at or above standards

• Safety / Quality minded

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• A demonstrated desire and ability to learn

• Ability and willingness to work as a leader and a team member

• Ability to assist others

• Experience in 5S leadership and demonstrated 5S discipline

• Proficient in Excel, AS400, YAMA
