Duties/Responsibilities:
· Plan, schedule and coordinate production of all company products
· Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, distribution, purchasing, quality and manufacturing departments and alert the appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
· Collaborates with these departments to establish a daily production schedule.
· Allocates available resources to best serve customer needs and manufacturing schedule by Coordinating production workflow for multiple products.
· Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials and other components. Use judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed.
· Ensures accurate and timely completion of work.
· Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
· Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
· Plan / prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
· Monitor production jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
· Address any issues with system or production floor when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
· Report daily planned vs actual production numbers to management.
· Find ways to improve productivity and reduce cost.

Requirements:Required Skills/Abilities:
· Lead meetings surrounding production.
· In-depth knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.
· Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain
· Working knowledge of MS Office, MRP and ERP systems (Netsuite a plus)
· Aptitude for math & statistics
· Strong organizational & problem solving skills.
· Excellent verbal/written communication
Education/Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in related field
· Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.
· 5-7 years previous experience as a Production Planner
· Prior experience working with MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning)
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk
· Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
