Job Purpose:
The Production Manager orchestrates all Production activity by directly overseeing all aspects of the People, the Product, and the Process. The nature of the position is highly cross-functional and works throughout the group, company locations, and works in collaboration with Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, Operations, Fulfillment, and the President. The Production Manager does this in accordance with all regulatory, quality, and organizational standards. The Production Manager accomplishes this under the direction of the Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively utilizes the SAP / WMS Production system to drive and maintain in-stock position and to drive accurate records for Product Cost, FIFO, Batch Management and Physical Inventory.
Communicates company goals, coaches, counsels, and works to ensure positive employee relations.
Acts as key resource and educator for the SAP Production and WMS systems.
Ensures product quality and Food Safety by adherence to GMP’s and other food safety procedures.
Takes ownership of facility cleanliness, safety, and organization to help ensure all regulatory compliance.
Works with Purchasing to organize the accurate receiving and smooth flow of incoming inventory.
Conducts performance evaluations and performance discussions for all Production employees.
Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of NMPC.
Builds bench strength through hiring, cross training, and the active development of employees.
Develops and maintains a productive, safe, and welcoming workplace.
Responsible as a key holder and pro-actively works to protect both product and people.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Work Environment:
Job duties are performed primarily indoors in a non-climate controlled, food production / warehouse environment. Work environment involves exposure to potential physical risks such as mechanical, chemical, fire, and electrical hazards. Conditions require a high tolerance for heat, cold, dust, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and noise.
Physical Requirements:
The nature of the position can be physical and requires the ability to stand and walk throughout an entire shift. Using a computer while sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Occasional lifting (20+ lbs.) can be expected. Good manual dexterity and visual acuity is required to use common office equipment, computers, mobile devices, copiers, scanners, etc.

Ability to work with numbers and understand a broad range of common financial matters.
Skilled and proficient use of technology, including standard office software [Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint] as well as ERP, Production, and Inventory systems, (SAP a plus)
Demonstrated agility to solve problems, think critically, and grow in a sometimes-ambiguous environment.
Regular attendance and dependability are an essential function of this position.
