Reports To: Production Supervisor

Job Description: Mon-Thurs 6:30 -5PM. Full time position responsible for leading a team of 5-8 production employees to ensure efficient production of our product to the highest of quality standards.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Ensure the safe operation of all equipment and machinery by team members.
• Ensure that all company personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements are complied with.
• Maintain a clean and efficient work area.
• Attend meetings and maintain required raw materials, component parts, and safety stocks to meet production demand requirements.
• Develop incremental quality control checks throughout the production lifecycle.
• Manage and train team members to adhere with documented production procedures.
• Develop production process improvements to improve labor efficiency and ergonomics.
• Attend company sponsored managerial training to enhance team building skills.

Required Skills:

• Ability to lead, manage, and hold team members accountable in a positive manner
• Ability to communicate & motivate team members via written and verbal communication.
• Mechanical skills using power and hand tools.
• Machine operation.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Document and ensure completion of all safety reports.
• Document and ensure completion of all required maintenance requests.

Education:

• High School diploma/equivalent required; Associates degree/Trade school background preferred.

Since 1961, Vaughn has been providing electric water heaters for the utility industry, and more recently to the plumbing and heating markets as well. Vaughn is considered a pioneer because for over 60 years, Vaughn has developed products specifically to meet the changing needs of electric hot water applications. We are currently looking to add new members to our production team.
