Production Designer
The Production Designer provides hands on support for document and visual asset creation. This entry-level position is well versed in efficiently and effectively creating documents following set standards and protocols. This position supports Communication Designers and Graphic Designers by completing components of larger documents, document handling, proofing and final packaging.
Production designers typically have a design education or previous experience in a communications role. This position is well versed and confident working in Adobe Creative Suite as well as Microsoft Office as they support Associate needs.
Role responsibilities
Provide high quality work, following established procedures and using available resources, such as brand guidelines, spell check and the proofreading team.
Produce work following Lockton's brand standards.
Communicate project status and deadlines to supervisors to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner during personal absences.
Manage Workfront dashboard, keeping it current related to all assigned projects.
Communicate with Associates to resolve any questions concerning project assignments to ensure product meets or exceeds expectations.
Meet required deadlines and strive to provide good customer service on a consistent basis.
Exercise independent judgment in interpreting instructions and make recommendations to the requestor as needed to produce quality work.
Protects the confidentiality of sensitive information learned by performing the duties of the position.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Two- or four-year degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience in the creative arts/graphic design field.
Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro.
Ability to complete a large volume of projects in a demanding environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
Solid verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with Associates of all levels of responsibility and individuals at all levels of life experience.
Ability to understand when to proceed alone and when to involve other team members, including the supervisor.
Ability to provide limited technical coaching and mentoring to other Production Designers.
Commitment to continuous developing technical skills.
Ability to provide and take direction and feedback.
