Production Designer

About the Role:

The Marketing team is critical to fueling the company's growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to help our Sales and Customer Success teams grow and retain our client base, help our People team recruit and retain great talent, and lead all demand generation efforts via engaging campaign executions, effective product marketing strategies, and client and trade-show events. The Marketing team is also responsible for public relations, industry and brand partnerships, and internal communications. 

The Production Designer is a key supporting role to the Creative Team and the future of the PitchBook brand. This role partners closely with the Creative Marketing Team, including strategists, designers, multimedia specialists, copywriters, and copy editors, to support the efforts of marketing stakeholders and other departments. This role provides mechanical production expertise for print, digital, and 3-dimensional deliverables and spec layouts in consistent, clear detail. A meticulous eye for detail and a high level of organization is a must.  

We are looking for this candidate to continue to up-level PitchBook's brand through the release of quality files, minimizing visual errors, develop best practices for the team, and assist in communicating those out to the broader creative group. This role requires an individual that can adhere to brand guidelines, deliver quality files under tight timelines, and problem solve with strong communication skills. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Understand project scopes and responsibilities  
• Ensure on-time delivery of all project and campaign assets while maintaining the highest levels of quality and consistency  
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and managers to deliver high-quality, production-ready print and/or digital assets  
• Identify and support process optimizations to improve the efficiency of file execution and delivery  
• Support the creation of templatized graphics to improve team efficiencies  
• Proactively manages expectations of projects and deliverables to all stakeholders to minimize and mitigate risk 
• Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors 
• Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in visual communication design or equivalent 
• 2+ years of hands-on experience leading creative production projects and digital/printed media disciplines as part of a cross-functional team 
• Desire and drive to establish and grow a role that supports a global creative group and looks for opportunities to increase level production efficiency, impact, and quality of final output 
• Experience preparing print files for press: Expert knowledge of dieline specs, color spaces, bleed, crop setting, and templatizing 
• Experience working effectively with creative teammates and design proficiencies including layout, typography, illustration, color, and photography 
• Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across multiple departments in a large organization 
• Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on process improvement 
• Experience using creative project planning and management software, such as Asana, Wrike, or Trello 
• Knowledge of private equity, venture capital, and M&A is helpful but not required 
• Expert working knowledge of Adobe, Figma, and basic HTML/CSS skills 
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation

• Annual base salary: $50,000-$70,000
• Target annual bonus percentage: 7.5%

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location. 

Working Conditions:

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
