Job description

Every great story has a new beginning, and yours starts here.

Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of.

Who We Are…

When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what’s next…

From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.

Your New Role...

WBD is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full-time position on the Marketing Team for a Production Coordinator, to support the Production Team for D-Nets, which makes all promotional materials for the entire line-up of shows across Discovery, Animal Planet, Science and Travel Channel. This position, which reports to the Senior Production Manager, would be joining a team of doers who empower one another, approach projects with passion and purpose, and challenge the status quo.

This dynamic, fast-paced role is at the center of all the marketing action, the hub of asset organization and tracking, through which Strategy and Creative must flow to bring our campaign assets to life—on time and on budget. As such, you would also be in the broader marketing mix, learning how strategies are developed and creative ideas are born to support those plans. Relationship building with both internal and external partners is the not-so-secret sauce to this role’s success.

Some key responsibilities include: tracking raw media asset deliverables movement through to final delivery, supporting the Creative Team by fulfilling footage and stock/imagery requests, updating project trackers, cost management, vendor management, contract creation and payments, and coordinating shoot logistics support where needed.

The ideal candidate must have an interest in production, creative, writing, and design. This is a position that requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and thrive in a team environment. Extra credit if you have a passion for all things entertainment, media and visual storytelling.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Coordinate asset management across the US D-Nets Marketing team, including sharing with the Branded Entertainment team and with other internal departments and external vendors, from project inception to final delivery

  • Intake, process and coordinate project requests with stakeholders throughout the company to ensure correct asks and specs are provided to the Design team

  • Organize and manage online file sharing and internal tracking systems

  • Quality control final deliverables from designers, e.g. ensuring all specs, messaging and other details are correct

  • Support the delivery of key art and all other creative assets, including dissemination of final assets to stakeholders

  • Work with production team to secure advanced production photography, show synopses and storylines

  • Manage requests for footage and other assets and their dissemination to outside vendors and freelancers

  • Manage stock and font licensing

  • Support the VP, Production and the larger team with process-enforcement, including managing internal edit resources and external freelance resources

  • Assist with tracking and managing all departmental costs, budgeting and accruals, PO creation and invoice processing, new vendor setup and contract generation/processing

  • Manage music license requests for quotes, contracts and payments

  • Coordinate production shoot logistics when necessary

  • Coordinate the ingestion of final photography, approvals with talent, and process assets into the photo DAM

  • Assist with last minute design tasks (tune in updates, file conversions, etc.)

Qualifications and Experience...

  • 1-3 years of advertising/marketing experience and/or relevant internship experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, design, advertising or related field

  • Advertising agency and/or television experience is a plus

  • Proven project management skills

  • Proficiency with Adobe products, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, PowerPoint and Keynote

  • Basic understanding of online file/media asset management is preferred

  • Detail-oriented

  • Analytical with an affinity for and understanding of the creative process

  • Ability to multi-task at a fast pace while prioritizing several projects in various stages of production

  • A self-starter who anticipates the needs of the team and external/internal stakeholders

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Enthusiastic yet easy going team player

  • Interest in learning the ropes and contributing to the process beyond the job description

  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills
