Job Description
GL Staffing is hiring a Production Buyer/ Planner for a pharmaceutical company located in Miami Lakes.
Plans, directs and schedules manufacturing and packaging production for all products and presentations as assigned. Requisition, procure and maintain inventory levels for all raw materials, packaging components and associated materials necessary to meet production requirements and communicates with vendors to assure on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities:
· Develops daily production plans. Monitors documentation and releases of all products from bulk to finished goods.
· Assign Batch Lot Numbers and maintains Lot Assignment Logs.
· Coordinate issuance of Manufacturing and Packaging Batch Records. Approve all batch records to ensure accuracy against production schedules and open manufacturing orders in Fourth Shift.
· Requisitions raw materials, packaging components and associated materials within established lead-times and monitors their timely delivery by communicating with the vendor and QC release to meet production requirements.
· Communicates with warehouse personnel to meet delivery schedule, storage capabilities and flow of materials.
· Maintains raw material and packaging components at the prescribed inventory levels to maximize turns.
· Communicates with vendors as needed to schedule purchase orders in or out to level-load deliveries to the warehouse and meet production requirements. Updates purchase order delivery dates as needed in MRP system. Reviews vendor order reports for accuracy.
· Requests Certificates of Analysis or Compliance from vendors for missing or incorrect certificates.
· Reports any vendor paperwork deficiencies to Quality Assurance for investigation.
· Directs the daily utilization of direct labor in the manufacturing and packaging areas based on equipment availability, capacity and finished goods requirements.
· Coordinate the implementation of artwork changes as agreed with customer, initiate BOM Creation/Change form and coordinate Packaging Master BOM Batch Record revisions. Enters item master changes to planning fields into MRP system for packaging components and raw materials. Reviews and updates vendor lead-times in MRP system.
Qualifications:
· Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical operations/MRP systems.
· Working knowledge of cGMP’s and regulatory requirements and ability to apply to workplace.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
· Ability to work across various functional departments and understand the customer’s needs
· Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.
· Excellent Computer skills.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
· Excellent Math/analytical skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to communicate information and direction clearly while maintaining a professional demeanor

· This job operates in an office environment.
· This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
