Purchaser/Buyer

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Purchaser will buy products from various vendors and suppliers. You will work independently in a highly collaborative environment that requires frequent communication with other departments. In this role you will prepare and issue purchase orders from pre-approved sales orders:

• Ensure timely delivery of orders
• Work with various import and domestic vendors
• Resolve order and/or invoice discrepancies
• Process and follow up on vendor status reports
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent math skills (applicants are required to pass a math and attention to detail skills test).
• Strong attention to detail and a proven desire for serving customers (internal and external)
• Great listening and communication skills
• Solid interpersonal skills, collaborative and team-oriented
• Previous office experience and knowledge of Microsoft office suite - especially excel skills are preferred
• Experience purchasing apparel and other soft goods from domestic and/or international factories, a plus
• Accounting or business degrees are a plus, but not required

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
