Coordinates the procurement of materials, parts and packaging supplies for the organization to ensure on time delivery.
This is a 100% remote role that is supported by our Baltimore office.
Duties:
- Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with initial purchase through delivery.
- Assists in the setup of a constant stream of new products from the Product Development group. Contacts department and/or initiator to clarify or complete information for proper purchasing specifications and processes.
- Evaluate each purchase minimums against vendor minimums; negotiate or suggest discontinuance of product.
- Assures that the commodity is delivered on time, at the negotiated price and meets the quality standards of the company.
- Maintains timely control of purchase orders, revisions, advance shipping notices, and other documents to assure on-time delivery from supplier.
- Updates import costs and maintain import spreadsheet and warranty spreadsheet for imports.
- Records and maintains cost savings spreadsheet.
- Daily expediting of inbound purchased orders.
- Maintain database of purchase orders, vendor/item, estimated time of arrivals and new quotes.
- Provide demand plan to designated suppliers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Associate degree or one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
