Assist in the moving and coordination of all Studio furniture and product inventory including receiving, furniture set-up and positioning for photography purposes, shipping, distribution, maintenance, and delivery to and from the Photo Studio. The incumbent would drive Studio vehicles including 24’ box truck as well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assume an integral role assisting in warehouse logistics, coordination, problem solving, inventory care and tracking, as it relates to the furniture/product needed for photography production.
- Utilize inventory program to assist with accent, case good and upholstery warehouse inventory. Generate reports and labels as needed. Assist supervisor with biannual inventories.
- Anticipate needs and assist creative crews on and off set to ensure successful photography production in studio and on location. This includes the picking of product from warehouse inventory and physically moving/positioning to appropriate area.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient handling of furniture/product inventory, using hand trucks and forklift.
- Work with staff in the distribution of furniture, product, and equipment to photo sets and off-site locations. Assist with the placement of merchandise at these sites.
- Assist with furniture retouching and general care of inventory.
- Ensure that the vehicles and studio are well-maintained.
- Report all unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions to supervisor.
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in handling of goods in a warehouse environment or with moving company.
- Warehouse experience preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- General computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Must be detail oriented and proficient in working with numbers.
- Forklift certification is required before operating.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs or more with mechanical or other assistance.
